The official trailer for Oscar-winner Danny Boyle’s latest film, “127 Hours” has been released. “127 Hours” will be released in theatres on November 7th and it stars James Franco, CLemence Poesy, Amber Tamblyn and Kate Mara.

127 Hours is the true story of mountain climber Aron Ralston’s (James Franco) remarkable adventure to save himself after a fallen boulder crashes on his arm and traps him in an isolated canyon in Utah. Over the next five days Ralston examines his life and survives the elements to finally discover he has the courage and the wherewithal to extricate himself by any means necessary, scale a 65 foot wall and hike over eight miles before he is finally rescued. Throughout his journey, Ralston recalls friends, lovers (Clemence Poesy), family, and the two hikers (Amber Tamblyn and Kate Mara) he met before his accident. Will they be the last two people he ever had the chance to meet?

It was announced months ago that the new “Spider-Man” reboot would feature Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker. But which lovely young Hollywood starlet should play his love interest? According to the Hollywood Reporter, the character will not be Mary Jane Watson, who was played by Kirsten Dunst in the recent “Spider-Man” trilogy. Gwen Stacy, a character introduced in “Spider-Man 3″ and played by Bryce Dallas Howard, is still a possibility, or it could be some unknown female character.

THR revealed several names in talks for the part — Imogen Poots, Ophelia Lovibond, Lilly Collins, Teresa Palmer and Emma Roberts. Zap2it would like to offer a few casting suggestions of our own:

Rooney Mara is an unknown who isn’t doing anything right now just got cast as Lisbeth Salander in “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.” But we actually think her sister Kate Mara would make an excellent comic book heroine.

Other names suggested included: Dianna Agron (“Glee”), Lyndsy Fonseca (“Kick-Ass”), Chloe Moretz (“Kick-Ass”), Lucy Hale (“Pretty Little Liars”). Who do you think should play Peter Parker’s new love interest? (Source)

With more than 40 million copies sold around the world, author Stieg Larsson’s “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” is an international phenomenon, having spawned a Swedish film that became one of the highest grossing foreign films ever. Now though, the franchise is heading west with an American remake of Larsson’s Millennium Trilogy heading to the big screen.

Everyone from Natalie Portman and Scarlett Johansson, to Kristen Stewart and Ellen Page, was reportedly after the lead female role of Lisbeth Salander, but it was a relative unknown actress — AccessHollywood.com’s newest Rising Star, Rooney Mara — who nabbed the part. So who is she?

Horror fans know the brunette beauty as Nancy Holbrook, the girl who stared down Freddy Krueger in the 2010 remake of “A Nightmare on Elm Street.”

“We always had sort of like a running joke about Nancy and Freddy’s romance — how in the sequel they’d run away together,” Rooney laughed in an interview earlier this year with Access Hollywood.

In taking on the role, Rooney will give her own stamp to the part, which was originated by Swedish actress Noomi Rapace. Noomi had said she had no interest in reprising the role, although she is interested in breaking into the U.S. film market, having just signed with a talent agency and management company in Hollywood.

Rooney’s older sister, Kate Mara, has been around for more than a decade, most recently appearing in “Iron Man 2,” but there is no sibling rivalry of which to speak.

“It’s been really great for me because, you know, I’ve been able to look up to her and get advice from her,” Rooney previously told Access of her sister-in-the-business benefits. “We don’t have a rivalry at all.”

In April of last year, it was announced that actress Kate Mara was joining the cast of “Iron Man 2,” but details beyond that initial revelation were entirely up in the air. Speculation ran rampant that she’d play an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. alongside Samuel L. Jackson’s role of Nick Fury or perhaps even Bethany Cabe, a girlfriend and ally of Tony Stark’s in the comic books.

With the cat still in the bag regarding Mara’s role, MTV News couldn’t help but ask the actress about her specific involvement in the “Iron Man” sequel during an interview at the Sundance Film Festival this weekend. According to the actress, rumors that she’ll play Bethany Cabe are entirely untrue.

“Not that I know of,” she replied when asked if she was playing Cabe. “I don’t know how that started. Maybe because Bethany Cabe has red hair in the comic books and they thought, well, I have red hair. I don’t know, but I don’t play her.”

In fact, it’s likely that Mara’s role isn’t much more than a simple cameo — after all, the actress is only in one scene of “Iron Man 2.”

“It’s a very small part,” she said. “I’m only in one scene, so I don’t know, I don’t want to tell you anything — go see it! Hopefully I’m still in it!”

Kate is currently in Sundance Film Festival, promoting “HappyThankYouMorePlease”.

The first true crowd pleaser debuted early during the first day of the 2010 Sundance Film Festival and its the charming “happythankyoumoreplease.” And the standing ovation and frequent laughter during the dramedy pretty much gave it away. read more…

It’s going to be tough for How I Met Your Mother star Josh Radnor to avoid two comparisons in particular as he schleps around his directorial debut happythankyoumoreplease. First off, he’s following in the footsteps of Zach Braff, another man-child sitcom actor who had a successful launch of a debut film at Sundance. Secondly, he’s made a movie about twentysomethings fumbling for romance in New York City, which is a lot like the premise of HIMYM. But happythankyou has a different vibe than Garden State or Mother; it’s more like a late ‘80s/early ‘90s Woody Allen film, after Allen stopped keeping his comedy and his drama separate. read more…

Official Synopsis: Six New Yorkers juggle love, friendship, and the keenly challenging specter of adulthood. Sam Wexler is a struggling writer who’s having a particularly bad day. When a young boy gets separated from his family on the subway, Sam makes the questionable decision to bring the child back to his apartment and thus begins a rewarding, yet complicated, friendship. Sam’s life revolves around his friends—Annie, whose self-image keeps her from commitment; Charlie and Mary Catherine, a couple whose possible move to Los Angeles tests their relationship; and Mississippi, a cabaret singer who catches Sam’s eye.

Written, directed, and starring Josh Radnor (CBS’s How I Met Your Mother), happythankyoumoreplease boasts a wryly funny script and engaging performances from its ensemble cast. With honesty and humor, Radnor captures a generational moment—young people on the cusp of truly growing up, struggling for connection, and hoping to define what it means to love and be loved.

Howdy! My name is Luciana and I’m taking over Kate Mara Fan. Lisa, my friend and previous owner wasn’t able to continue with the site and, as the only source dedicated to Kate Mara, it would be sad to let it outdated. Lisa did a great job and I hope to continue it, in the same high quality she did before.

To start I did a small update, still need to catch the gallery and see what’s being missed. But last September Kate attended a Maybelline event to launch the book “Who What Wear: Celebrity And Runway Style For Real Life”. Pictures were added to the gallery, and some photoshoots and scans. Enjoy.
